Carl Korytko is the creator and founder of Quantum Jukebox. A seasoned musician based out of B.C., Carl began his career as a classical guitarist, with three independently released albums of original music—Opus One, Sound Sculptures and String Theory. He opened for guitar virtuoso Eric Johnson at EXPO ’86 and toured extensively throughout B.C. and across Canada. He was a frequent guest on TV’s The Vancouver Show, was featured on MuchMusic in 1995, and his original compositions were played widely across CBC Radio.

As his music career expanded to include rock music, he opened for Canadian legends including Burton Cummings, and played in the Tim Bachman Band for two years. Performing highlights include the Cinco de Mayo festival in Anchorage, Alaska; the Mission Folk Festival in Mission, B.C.; and the Burnaby Roots & Blues Festival in Burnaby, B.C. He also released three independent rock albums, Lucid Dreams, Y and Poet’s Wake.  He played lead guitar and vocals with bands including Afterglow, Amigo, and Sabor. Additionally, Carl has worked as an arts educator, bringing music to schools and students across B.C.

Quantum Jukebox is Carl’s return to the rock scene, allowing him to experiment with his years of musical training and performance experience. Moving from an in-person model of creation and dissemination, Quantum Jukebox provides Carl with a platform to invest in the digital model of music, with executive producer, Susan Foster.
